Fave Camping Spots - Part 1

Fave Camping Spots - Part 1

Our first featured Campsite is Gallagher Lake. We've been going here for at least 5 years now and go twice a year. It truly is a hidden gem!

It's a beautiful, small and private spring fed lake just 10 minutes from Oliver, BC. You can book up to 365 days in advance which makes going back every year pretty darn convenient. It is a little bit pricier than your average camping spot, but with all of the amenities it has to offer, it's no wonder.

It should probably classify as glamping considering all the perks!

  • Pickleball Courts
  • Basketball Hoop
  • Horseshoe Pit
  • Grassy areas for games
  • Playground
  • Beach Volleyball
  • Convenience Store
  • Sandy Beach
  • Warm water
  • Full RV Hook ups
  • Little cabins for rent
  • Laundry facilities
  • Full bathrooms
  • Wifi

It really does have everything! It's great for paddle boarding, swimming or just floating and has a great kid friendly beach. And if you're looking to get out of the campground, it's only a short trek to the District Wine Village and there is even a restaurant right across the street!

My beach must have recommendations listed below! Just click the photos for details.

  1. You'll want these phone pouches so you can capture those perfect moments out on the water!

2. You'll need some sort of floatie, paddle board or flotation device - being out on the water is a MUST!

3. It's a short walk to the beach, depending on what site you get. A collapsible wagon is a game changer for carting all your gear and snacks back and forth and turns two trips into one! Highly recommend grabbing one of these and loading it up!
Let me know if you go, and what you think!
